According to Philips’ head of Product Marketing and Strategy for flat TV, Danny Tack, SED televisions will never go on sale. This does seem to contradict recent SED TV announcements by both Toshiba and Canon (see posts below) which indicate they’re preparing for full scale SED TV production. See story here: avzombie.com

Reading the article, it sounds like he is very scared. All I hear is him saying that they have invested too much money in LCD, and if SED does go on sale, it will sink at least the television side of Philips.
