Apparently Toshiba sees the SED TV as not just another product.

They are pretty confident that SED television technology will change the future. Considering all the hurdles yet to be overcome, including pricing and limited initialĂ‚Â supply, they’ve still got a long way to go to reach this vision. “suprise and wonder” as opposed to “shock and awe”

I have been following the birth of HDTV since the 90s, and it’s delayed intro. The reason I have not yet replaced my self aligned almost perfect picture 32″ Sony Vega, is that the current crop of flat screen TVs disappoint me. Now I see the light breaking through the darkness.
